If someone who owns, keeps, breeds, or sells a large carnivore (like a lion or tiger) breaks the rules in Missouri's large carnivore laws, that animal and any other large carnivores they have can be taken away by the government. A prosecutor can go to court and ask a judge to order that all of those animals be taken from that person.
578.616. , when. — 1. If a person who owns, possesses, breeds, or sells a violates sections 578.600 to 578.624, such large carnivore and any other large carnivore owned or by such person are subject to civil forfeiture.
