Emergency medical services, special license plates

Random law
In plain English

A paramedic or emergency medical technician can get special license plates for their car or truck. They pay $15 a year to the Missouri Emergency Medical Services Association, get a permission statement, then apply through the state motor vehicle office and pay the normal personalized plate fee. The plate shows the EMS emblem and says either 'PARAMEDIC' or 'EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN' instead of 'SHOW-ME STATE.' Only one set of plates is issued per person, and the plates cannot be transferred to someone else, except a co-owner of the vehicle can keep using them for the rest of that year if the qualified person dies.
