Motor vehicle liability policy, minimum term, exceptions
Car insurance policies for regular private cars must last at least 3 months. Each payment a person makes has to cover at least one month of insurance. This rule does not apply to payments taken out of a paycheck, and it does not apply to fleet, rental, group, or commercial vehicle policies.
