When a person in charge of a deceased person's estate misses the court date to file their financial report, the court reschedules it and sends them an official notice. That notice tells them to file the report by the new date or explain why they haven't — and why their authority over the estate should not be taken away.
473.560. Failure to file , . — If any or fails to appear and file settlement on the day for which his settlement is , the court shall continue the settlement to some future day and a citation to the executor or administrator requiring him to file settlement on the day to which the settlement is continued or show , if any he has, why his settlement has not been filed and why his should not be . The citation shall be in the manner prescribed by the court in accordance with section 472.100.
