Safari Club International specialized license plate, issuance, fees

A person who is a member of Safari Club International can get a special license plate with the group's logo on it. They pay $25 a year to Safari Club International and $15 extra when registering their vehicle. If they stop paying, they get a regular plate without the logo instead.

301.3050. Safari Club International , , fees. — 1. Any person may receive s as prescribed in this section, for issuance either to motor vehicles, passenger motor vehicles subject to the provided in section 301.055, or for a local or d for a not in excess of twenty-four thousand as provided in section 301.057 or 301.058, after an annual payment of an to Safari Club International. Safari Club International hereby authorizes the use of its official to be on as provided in this section. Any to Safari Club International derived from this section, except reasonable , shall be used solely for the purposes of Safari Club International. Any member of Safari Club International may annually apply for the use of the emblem.

2. Upon annual and payment of a twenty-five dollar emblem-use contribution to Safari Club International, Safari Club International shall to the vehicle owner, without further charge, an , which shall be presented by the owner to the at the time of of a motor vehicle. Upon presentation of the annual statement, payment of a fifteen dollar fee in addition to the registration fees and documents which may be required by law, the department of revenue shall issue to the vehicle owner a which shall bear the emblem of Safari Club International. Such license plates shall be made with with a common color scheme and design, shall be clearly visible at night, and shall be aesthetically attractive, as prescribed by section 301.130.

3. A vehicle owner, who was previously issued a with the Safari Club International emblem by this section but who does not provide an emblem-use authorization statement at a subsequent time of registration, shall be issued a new plate which does not bear the Safari Club International emblem, as otherwise provided by law. The shall make necessary for the of this section, and shall design all necessary forms required by this section.
