This law sets dollar amounts that count as a judgment being 'paid off enough' for the purposes of Missouri's financial responsibility rules. If someone owes money from a car accident, the judgment is considered satisfied — meaning paid enough — once $25,000 has been paid for injury or death of one person, $50,000 has been paid for injury or death of two or more people, or $25,000 has been paid for property damage. Money paid in settlements counts toward these amounts.
