Law not to apply to certain automobile insurance policies
This law says that certain car insurance policies do not have to follow the rules in this chapter. First, insurance policies required by other Missouri laws are not affected — but they can still count as proof of financial responsibility if they meet the chapter's requirements. Second, policies that only cover a business owner when their employees or agents use vehicles the owner does not own are also not covered by this chapter.
303.340. Law not to apply to certain automobile insurance policies. — 1. This chapter shall not be held to apply to or affect policies of automobile insurance against which may now or hereafter be required by any other law of this state, and such policies, if they contain an agreement or are to to the requirements of this chapter, may be as under this chapter.
2. This chapter shall not be held to apply to or affect policies insuring solely the named in the policy against liability resulting from the or use by persons in the insured's employ or on his behalf of motor vehicles not owned by the insured.
