This law gives the definitions for words used in the bus transportation laws. A 'bus' is a motor vehicle that holds at least 15 people and is used to carry passengers or cargo for money — but not school buses. A 'bus transportation company' is any person or business that runs those buses for money on Missouri roads. A 'charter' is when a group rents an entire bus together for a set price to go somewhere. A 'passenger' includes not just riders, but also people picking someone up or dropping off cargo. A 'terminal' is a bus station or stop, including nearby parking areas.
